Before treatment , please ask the patient about the detailed situation, pain site, physical condition or related contraindications, so as not to tear off the wrong paste or waste the electrodes. How should the electrode pads be used?
1. Inform the patient of the location of the naked patch and tell the patient that it will feel cold;
2. If there is foreign body in the exposed part, wash and dry the patient.
3. Tear the aluminum foil bag, remove the self-adhesive electrode sheet from the plastic sheet, and cling to the relevant part of the skin;
4 Switch on the physiotherapy instrument (IF frequency), connect the wire to the electrode sheet, and then start the treatment......
5. After physiotherapy, disconnect the wire from the electrode sheet, cut off the power supply, and then remove the electrode sheet and attach it back to the plastic sheet.
Note: Do not throw away the plastic sheet during the whole treatment process, this electrode sheet is not a one-time, stick back to the plastic sheet after use, so as not to get dirty, of course, the electrode sheet is also dedicated to the patient.
How do the electrodes help produce the effect?
1. Produce chemical reactions by transferring current:
PH changes, reflex vasodilation, direction of movement of ions between tissues.
2. Deliver electrical stimulation: Negative electrode works better because depolarization is easier.
Distance between electrodes:
The electrode near the surface is shallow, and the electrode far acts deeply, mainly on nerves and muscles.
So usually we don't stick electrodes close together.
If the pain is localized and seems to be deep in the joint or muscle area, separate the electrodes further apart to give more penetration to the current.
If you want to work on a specific surface area, the electrodes should all be relatively close together.
The close electrode is applied to the deep adipose tissue surface
Because of the size of the electrodes: as far as possible each pair is the same, so the current density under each electrode is basically the same, then the physiological effect under each electrode should be the same.
Different electrode sizes, the smaller electrode electrode, the greater the current density below,
On the contrary, the current density of large size is small.
Therefore, for maximum benefit, a large positive electrode should be placed at the distal end of the treatment site and a small electrode should be placed at the proximal end (nerve/muscle) to be treated.
Cross mode:
Two sets of bipolar electrodes can be used, each coming from a completely separate channel, but the wires of the two sets of electrodes that form the crossing intersect.
This would involve electrical applications, for example, where the electrical signals from each set of electrodes add up at some point in the body and the intensity builds up,
The electrodes are also usually arranged in a cross pattern around the stimulated points. This is the principle that our jamming electricity uses.
